Alera Technologies, developer and manufacturer of Advanced Optical Recording Solutions, announced today its new 1:3 DVD/CD Copy Tower Pro and 1:7 DVD/CD Copy Tower Pro, stand alone DVD/CD Duplicators that copy DVDs at up to 8x on both DVD-R and DVD+R on 8x certified media with no computer required. Also featured is an all new two button Cruise Control duplicator controller with advanced new functions. The distinctive "professional black" design fits perfectly in any environment, from the computer room to the Hollywood Studio.

The new DVD/CD Copy Tower family incorporates Dual Standard DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW Technology supporting all popular DVD formats. Customers can use DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW and CD-ROM discs.

"We know our Prosumer users continue to demand faster DVD duplicating speeds and more features. We are leaders in anticipating these requirements and we are proud to present the 8x DVD/CD Copy Tower Pro family, the highest speed DVD+R and DVD-R duplicating products available, with advanced new DVD duplicator control features that are a step beyond those that have made our earlier DVD Duplicators successful," stated Perry Solomon, President and CEO. "Just having the ability to duplicate multiple DVDs at up to 8x expands the utility of our duplicators. They are easy to operate so any user can make a few quick copies and with the added speed and control it is possible to complete production runs in times approaching one half those previously possible."

The 1:3 DVD/CD Copy Tower Pro (Aleratec Part # 260130, Ingram Micro SKU # D69328) and 1:7 DVD/CD Copy Tower Pro (Aleratec Part # 260131, Ingram Micro SKU # D69327) can make up to 3 copies or 7 copies, simultaneously, of a 4.7GB DVD in as few as 8 minutes at 8x DVD recording speed. With the low Estimated Street Prices of $1,549 for the 1:3 and $3,099 for the 1:7, the new DVD/CD duplicators are ideal for Prosumer, Corporate, Government and Education applications.

An easy to use, two button Cruise Control duplicator controller is all new and has a compact two level menu structure with the 5 most used duplicator functions (Copy, Compare, Verify, Erase, Test) readily available in the first level. It has a large and bright back lighted display that shows the number of discs loaded and monitors the copy process.
