News: YAMAHA CRW-F1DX and WAITEC FRISBY II hardware reviews
After sometime, we post two new hardware reviews. We have delayed both reviews since we have added a new series of tests that examine ,in depth, the reading error correction of the drives using special CD-R and pressed test discs. The new tests are very interesting and will be used in all future reviews...

YAMAHA CRW-F1DX: After having tested the internal IDE drive (CRW-F1E), we were very excited to see the CRW-F1DX arrived in our labs. The new model from the CRW-F1 series is actual the external version of its twin brother CRW-F1E (already tested) and comes with an attractive look and two different connection interface. We compare both Yamaha drives to see their performance differences, due to different firmware revision.
- WAITEC FRISBY II: This is ,currently, the fastest external portable recorder since it supports 40X writing, 12X re-writing and 40X reading. We compare WAITEC FRISBY II with three internal 40X recorders from LG, Plextor and Samsung. The results might surprise you!
