Nintendo Rumored To Release An Android Tablet
A series of Tweet posts made by a Nintendo employee indicate that the Japanese company works on an tablet device that runs on Google's Android OS.
Nintendo of America software engineer Nando Monterazo has unveiled on his Twitter account (@NandoMonterazo) that he has been "experimenting with a tablet of Nintendo, the system is based on android, fully modified and unified as a database of the tablet."
Nintendo Everything website, which has collected Monterazo's related posts on Twitter, also quoted the followng Tweets:
"At the moment just testing communication environment of educational games that will be shared between the kids using the tablet!"
Monterazo also said that NES, Super Nintendo, and Game Boy games will not appear on the tablet, with "educational games only" being the focus.
Nintendo declined to comment "on rumors or speculation."
Following the report, Monterazo's related Tweets have all been removed.
