Nvidia Releases New 7800 GTX 512
Nvidia's answer to ATI's X1000 graphics card comes almost a week after volume availability of the X1800 XT.
The new 7800 GTX comes with increased clock speed and more memory, while it offers potential for overclocking.
The new 7800 GTX 512 uses 512 MByte instead of the 256 MByte of memory. The core clock was raised from 430 to 550 MHz and memory climbed from 600 to 850 MHz. The new card has been manufactured with Nvidia's the 110 nm technology.
The card is equipped with a new heatpipe system that pushes hot air out to two sides.
Nvidia's suggested retail price for the card is $649, although it is currently online for more than $730. In addition, Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX 512 GPU-based graphics cards are available from the Nvidia's card partners such as ASUS, BFG, EVGA, Gainward, MSI, Point of View, and XFX.
