We fired up HD Tach v3.0.1.0 and prepared the full suite of tests for the 8GB Mega-Kart:

The tests take a while to complete. Don't forget, this is an 8GB sized flash memory card. But in the end, we got our reading/writing graphs:

First of all, the performance is to say the least, impressive. Up to the 5.2GB mark, the 8GB Mega-Kart read (output) data at around 29MB/Sec! After that point, performance drops to 22MB/Sec, until the end. The writing performance is more stable with a straight line at 7.1MB/sec. The random access time is 11.9ms. We can say that the reading performance is close to what a 2.5" 4200rpm HDD in an external case can produce. However, the writing performance in not comparable...
