Pioneer presents the DVD -A06S

Pioneer presents the DVD -A06S

Optical Storage Oct 16,2001 0

Pioneer, the leader in DVD research, has launched the DVD-A06S, a new technological bombshell, onto the DVD-Rom market. Product Manager (Optical Systems) for Pioneer Europe's Multimedia Division, Chris Tampsett commented "The DVD-A06S is the fastest DVD-ROM player on the market. Replacing the DVD-A05SW model, the DVD-A06S incorporates the latest Pioneer technological developments."

Compatibility: the DVD-A06S is compatible with all the CD formats (CD-Audio, CD-ROM, CD multisession, photo CD, CD-R, CD-RW). It plays both single and double-sided DVDs, writable (R) and rewritable (RW)

Speed: Thanks to the hi-speed loading level (21,6 Mo/Sec), the DVD-AO6S can access data in less than 85 ms for DVDs and 70 ms for the CDs

Performance: with a CD-Audio output of 16x, the DVD-A06S is the best performer on the market.

Safety: the system (Slot-In) of the DVD-A06S prevents damage to the CDs during loading and unloading whilst offering great mechanical reliability.

Pioneer developed a vibration absorption system that reduces the noise generated by disc rotation by 2dB for maximum efficiency. The time necessary to start and stop the CD ("spin up" and "spin down") have been significantly reduced.

The DVD-A06S is available on the market in a package that includes:
· 2 x DVD-ROM games: Star Wars and Ice Wind Dale
· 1 x software to compress video, ELSAMoviePlayer
· 1 x instruction leaflet, audio cable and MS-DOS

The retail pack is available from the end of September 2001 at popular retailers.

Key Features:

The fastest player on the market 16x and 40x
Compatible to play with all the CD and DVD (not DVD-RAM)
Technology "slot in" for an easier use
Audio Extraction 16 x : the best performance on the market
Easy to install (Plug and Play)
Two games DVD-ROM included : Star Wars and Ice Wind Dale
