President Trump Tweets On The Loss of iPhone Home Button
U.S. President Donald Trump seems not ot be happy with the fact that some iPhone models lack a home button.
Apple removed the home button on some older iPhone models starting in 2017. The change forced iPhone users to swipe upward, rather than tap a button, to unlock the device or return to its home screen.
President Trump, who uses a government-issued iPhone, commented on Twitter:
“To Tim: The Button on the IPhone was FAR better than the Swipe!”
The tweet appeared to be directed at Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook, who has met with Trump and has discussed trade issues with the president.
Apple removed the home buttons in the iPhone X in 2017, but the company's iPhone 8 retains the home button.
