Samsung Expands its 3D Blu-ray Player Lineup
Samsung has rolled new 3D capable Blu-ray players, the BD-C5900, the BD-C6800 and and BD-C7900 models.
BD-C7900
The BD-C7900 Blu-Ray Disc Player offers 3D capabilities and Internet@TV (Featuring Samsung Apps) brings web content to the TV screen. With the Ultra Fast Play feature, movies start playing the moment a user inserts them.
Internet@TV allows users to stream video from BLOCKBUSTER, Youtube and Netflix. Users can also play games such as the Monopoly from EA and other interactive card games. They can enjoy access to Facebook, Twitter, Pandora and also read the latest headlines and more from Associated Press and USA Today.
The BD-C7900 boasts a design that's both modernized and minimized. With both TOP disc lighting and blue lighting, its logo shines when the player reads discs. Only 1.5" high, the BD-C7900's slim body hides the disc loading door, but through its cool transparent window on top you can see what disc is playing.
With the BD-C7900's AllShare, users are able to wirelessly sync their PC or Samsung mobile phone with their TV, streaming content and even keeping tabs on who's calling and texting them with real-time monitoring on their screen.
With the Screen Fit feature, the BD-C7900 Blu-ray disc player automatically converts 21:9 aspect ratio movies to 16:9 aspect.
The player also upscales standard definition DVDs into high resolution DVDs.
The Anynet+ AV Network system automatically controls Samsung Audio/Video (AV) devices. There is no need to use different remote controls for different devices.
Last but not least, BD-C7900 supports Divx playback.
The $399 (MSRP) BD-C7900 features also two HDMI outputs, it has Wireless-LAN built in and it is BD-Live 2.0 ready.
The $279 BD-C6800 has all the features of the BD-C7900 except for that porthole on top.
The BD-C5900 with an MSRP of $229 and has not the 1GB of internal storage featured by the other two players.
