Sanyo Introduces Full HD Projector

Sanyo announced today the launch of a Full HD (1920 x 1080) projector featuring a new 3D color management technology and a high contrast ratio of 15000:1 - the new LP-Z2000. The Z2000 has a 1,100 times better color management ability, capable of offering approximately 2,160 hundreds of millions of color combinations, according to Sanyo.

The projector is also able to offer Full HD using the C2FINE D7 new generation of inorganic LCD panel and a variable iris capable of a delivering a contrast ratio of 15,000:1.



In addition, the LP-Z2000 has a built-in lens shifting function that allows the wide-range shifting up or down for up to 3 screen sizes, and left to right up to 2 screen sizes. The projector has also a built in 2x zoom enabling large projection from larger rooms, such as living rooms, to smaller rooms.

A low noise cooling fan reaches the low noise level of 19 decibels, but has also been improved to effectively cool the inside of the projector unit.

Other features include two HDMI 1.3 inputs with Deep Color support and a 14 bit gamma correction circuit.

The projector will be on sale in Japan starting from November 1, 2007.
