Sapphire Technology now brings silent cooling to an affordable series of graphics accelerators with its new RADEON X1600 ULTIMATE Silent Series launching at COMPUTEX. The new X1600 ULTIMATE Silent series delivers high performance in Shader Model 3.0 and enhanced image quality but now with very low noise levels. A new combination of heatpipe, heatsink and embedded fan provide an efficient cooling system. The intelligent control system of the fan senses the thermal environment and keeps rotation speed and noise to a minimum - and even under load, noise levels never exceed 22dB(A). The architecture also supports Avivo delivering high fidelity images and video playback to the latest High Definition (HD) video standards, making the ULTIMATE Silent series ideal for media PC systems.

The Sapphire RADEON X1600XT ULTIMATE is equipped with 256MB of GDDR3 memory, features core clock speeds of 600MHz and memory of 700MHz (1400MHz effective). The Sapphire RADEON X1600Pro ULTIMATE features the same graphics architecture, with 256MB of DDR2 memory, operating at the slightly reduced clock speeds of 500MHz (core) and 400MHz memory (800MHz effective). This series is fully compatible with and ready for use in pairs in Crossfire dual graphics systems.

A special launch bundle in the full retail version will include the just released Davinci Code game.
