SEGA Puts 'Sonic' And 24 Other Classics On Amazon Fire TV

Owners of iAmazon.com's Fire TV device can now play classic SEGA games on their TVs, including Sonic the Hedgehog and Street of Rage.

Twenty-five SEGA games are available at launch, with more than 15 of the games support multiplayer action, Amazon said.

To play, Fire TV owners need to download and fire up the $15 SEGA Classics app.

The full list of games available at launch: Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Beyond Oasis, Bio-Hazard Battle, Bonanza Bros, Columns, Comix Zone, Decap Attack, Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Dynamite Headdy, ESWAT: City Under Siege, Gain Ground, Golden Axe, Golden Axe II, Golden Axe III, Gunstar Heroes, Ristar, Sonic CD, Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage, Streets of Rage II, Streets of Rage III and The Revenge of Shinobi.

The games are all controllable via the Alexa Voice Remote or a compatible Bluetooth gamepad controller.

Fire TV owners in the United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, Australia, France, Italy and Spain can also get in on the action.
