Skullcandy Dime 3

Despite the deep ear canal, the Dime 3 are comfortable earbuds, even for long periods. The retail package includes three different sizes to fit your needs. How about sound quality? That is purely subjective, the bass is OK and the mids are clear, even will not blow you away, but this price point should be considered as good.

App support does not exist, apart from the Tile app, which can be handy for many users, earbuds are small and sometimes you might lose them around, now you can find them, both will show up on a map and the Tile app will play an audio chime at max volume, even most of the work will be done via the included map. Road warriors will find the battery good, around 12 hours and the case charges them back in 10mins which is nice.

The build quality is OK for the money, both earbuds feel solid and hopefully will withstand drops. Both earbuds are rated IPX4 to stand against splash water and sweat, they are not designed to stand water and sea, be warned. The Skullcandy Dime 3 doesn't include active noise cancelation (ANC) but due to their design you can cut down external noise and there are three presets to choose from. There is also a Stay-Aware mode that helps you hear surround sounds and at the same time listen to music. Multipoint connection also is a nice feature, up to two devices can be connected. The Clear Voice Smart Mic can help with phone calls, and we found the product to perform well during our call sections.

The case has a lanyard to get into your keychain another positive for this product. The small and compact case also allows for easy carry and storage. We didn't have major connection problems with our Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Android 14.

Passing to some negatives, we found the physical buttons to be rather on the sensitive area, so in case you want to reposition the earphones, you will possibly press the buttons that cause pauses or skips to the music, rather annoying. There is no app support, apart from the Tile up, so you cannot view battery life easily or update them with new firmware revision(s).

Overall we found the Dime 3 to be an honest and good product for all users who wish to get earphones at a low price with the Skullcandy brand name. The price is good (29.99 Euro) and you can choose from many different colors (Black/White standard, and many other limited production colors 39.99). We highly suggest this product for all users who wish to get something for the upcoming Black Friday 2025 week, so hurry up.
