Sony’s first 2023 TVs on sale now
Sony Europe B.V. has announced the retail availability of BRAVIA X80L – the first of its new TVs to hit the shops in 2023. These 4K HDR TVs come in six distinctive sizes to match a variety of interiors, providing you with a gateway to the exciting world of blockbuster films and thrilling games, the main website can be found at https://www.sony.co.uk/bravia/products/x80l-x81bl-series.
The X80L comes with several technologies on board that work in tandem to deliver a compelling entertainment package. Featuring the ultra-wide Triluminos Pro colour palette and the power of the 4K HDR Processor X1, which analyses content in real-time to reveal intense contrast, peak brightness, and natural colours, the X80L will be the centrepiece of your home entertainment.
Dolby Vision[1] is a technology often associated with big movie theatres, found on this X80L TV. It will unlock the full potential in everything you watch, infusing pictures with ultra-vivid colour, sharper contrast, and deep texture. The sound is delivered by our unique X-Balanced Speaker for an exciting, high-quality audio experience, with powerful bass.
Minimalist and timeless, the TV has been designed to suit any interior. The elegant Flush Surface Bezel sits on a two-way, black, slim wedge stand[2] designed to fit both wide and narrow furniture surfaces, so you can place a soundbar underneath or keep the TV on a small cabinet.
Exclusively for BRAVIA TV owners, with the X80L you’ll gain access to the BRAVIA CORE[3] app including a Sony Pictures Entertainment library filled with the latest blockbusters and classics. Watch in Pure Stream (the highest in streaming quality), enjoy the largest available collection of IMAX Enhanced movies, and be treated to behind-the-scenes Studio Access. When you buy the X80L, you can choose 5 movies to redeem in up to 4K HDR quality, and enjoy 12 months of unlimited streaming.
A great TV for gamers, the X80L recognises when a console is connected and powered on, automatically switching to Auto Low Latency Mode in HDMI 2.1 so you can enjoy smoother, more responsive gameplay. In high contrast scenes, you’ll be able to see the crucial details in the darkest and brightest parts of the screen, thanks to our Auto HDR Tone Mapping technology. With Auto Genre Picture Mode, you won’t need to worry about adjusting your settings as you switch between different types of entertainment. The X80L also comes with a new dedicated Game Menu, accessible with one touch of a button on the remote. It allows you to quickly find all the settings you need to optimise your gaming performance in one place. This includes Motion Blur Reduction, which dims the screen to improve picture smoothness, a Black Equaliser to make your screen brighter and reveal hidden objects in a game, and more. What’s more, there’s a customisable Crosshair feature that will help you perfect your aim.
Sony’s X80L TVs are available in Europe now. Check your local Sony site for availability, price and order information at www.sony.eu.
