Sony Announces Availability of Limited-Edition SingStar PlayStation 2 Pack
With the holiday shopping season right around the corner, Sony today announced that its limited-edition SingStar PlayStation 2 pack is now available in the U.S. for $149.99 MSRP.
The new bundle includes a limited-edition Ceramic White PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, SingStar Pop, the second release in the multi-million selling SingStar franchise, and two microphones.
"Consumers can then add to their software library choosing from a great variety of nearly 1,500 games available for PlayStation 2, including additional titles from the SingStar franchise ? SingStar Rocks!, SingStar Amped, and SingStar 80?s ? as well as the recently released interactive quiz game, Buzz! The Mega Quiz," said Peter Dille, Senior Vice President, Marketing and PLAYSTATION Network, SCEA.
The new limited edition Ceramic White PlayStation 2 features the same design and features of the current Charcoal Black and Satin Silver PlayStation 2. This includes DVD and CD playback capabilities, digital surround sound, two memory card slots, and an integrated Ethernet port for network gaming. Bundled with the Ceramic White PlayStation 2 are SingStar Pop and two microphones, enabling players to take center stage in their living rooms with their favorite artists, singing along to real songs and real music videos in duets, one-on-one battles, and even a "Pass-the-Mic" party game with up to eight players.
PlayStation 2, which recently celebrated its seventh anniversary, continues to be the all- time best-selling gaming system with more than 120 million hardware units and more than a billion units of PlayStation 2 software sold worldwide.
