TerraMaster Presents iSCSI Manager For Virtualized Computing

TerraMaster Presents iSCSI Manager For Virtualized Computing

Enterprise & IT Aug 24,2022 0

TerraMaster, a professional brand that specializes in providing innovative storage products for home, businesses and enterprises presents the new TerraMaster iSCSI Manager for virtualized computing with TerraMaster NAS devices. A new function introduced on the TerraMaster TOS 5 operating system, the TerraMaster iSCSI Manager allows the creation of multiple iSCSI targets and LUNs. The customization of the available capacity, permissions, and connections through a graphical interface helps you meet your storage space requirements across a range of virtualization environments.

The TerraMaster iSCSI Manager provides a balance of performance and flexibility on configuration strategies for LUN storage space while providing excellent protection. The customization of the available capacity, permissions, and connections through a graphical interface helps managers meet storage space requirements across a range of virtualization environments.

TerraMaster iSCSI Manager Features

1. Flexible management of iSCSI disks
Supports one iSCSI target to mount multiple iSCSI LUNs at the same time. The iSCSI disk mounted on iSCSI target can be unmounted and optionally remounted on a different iSCSI target.

2. Custom ISCSI Target IQN
Using iSCSI Manager allows the creation of multiple iSCSI targets on the TNAS, with customized IQNs for ease of identification. You can also choose to enable authentication or mutual authentication for each iSCSI Target to increase access security.

3. Customize network management policies
To improve network utilization efficiency, a dedicated network interface and channel for the iSCSI Target can be designated to separate the iSCSI Target's network from the networks of other services. To optimize the transfer efficiency of the iSCSI Target, the maximum fragment size in terms of bytes transmitted and received can also be limited.

4. Designed for virtual environments
Supports VMware and Windows 2008 environments. TerraMaster NAS solutions provide economical construction costs with its highly efficient performance in virtual environments.

5. Multiple session connections
The TerraMaster iSCSI Manager allows users to enable multiple session connections from one or more initiators for each iSCSI Target to adapt to a range of complex virtualization application scenarios.

6. Balance performance and flexibility
Multiple LUNs can be created and mounted to a specified iSCSI Target using the TerraMaster iSCSI Manager. It offers flexibility in terms of storage space utilization by providing Thick provisioning and Thin provisioning configuration strategies for LUN storage space.

7. Safer protection
Snapshot technology allows snapshots to be taken of LUNs to prevent any data loss.

8. Access control
By default, all connected initiators in iSCSI Manager have read and write permissions for LUNs. Managers can also customize access permissions for each initiator to meet the specific needs of the organization.

9. Low-capacity write protection
TerraMaster iSCSI Manager has a specially designed low-capacity write protection function to protect LUNs.
