Ulead Systems and NEC announced the inclusion of a full suite of Ulead digital media software with NEC's new ND-3500A drive. The ND-3500A is a double layer internal DVD rewritable drive that features the highest industry performance combined with the low market price of $99.99(1). To match the overall value of the ND-3500A, the drive includes Ulead's best-of-class software for DVD creation, video editing, burning, playing DVDs, as well as NovaStor's backup software.

The NEC ND-3500A is designed to meet the needs of consumers, video editors and DVD enthusiasts looking to upgrade. Combined with Ulead's top-of-the-line digital media software, the ND-3500A gives consumers a flexible, high capacity, reliable device ideal for easily and quickly turning videos and photos into edited DVD and CD productions as well as storing PC data. Leveraging the 16 x 16 maximum write speed of the NEC ND-3500A and the Ulead Burn. Now engine, consumers can burn projects at the market leading write speed on all major brands of CD, DVD +/-R /RW, and double layer media. By including the Ulead DVD Player software on the DVD, viewers can watch the final DVD production on a computer without needing additional software. To back up data easily and quickly, the suite includes NovaBACKUP 7.1, powerful yet easy-to-use software for backing up digital files.

"We're pleased to include Ulead's digital media software suite with our new ND-3500A drive," says Larry Sheffield, senior vice president of the Solutions Platform Group for NEC Solutions America . "Not only can our customers rely on our latest technology to burn double the amount of media faster than ever before, but they can be certain that Ulead's integrated suite of software will help them easily and quickly turn their photos and videos into fun-to-watch, high-quality home productions."

"NEC has taken double-layer DVD burning and writing speed technology to the next level," says Lewis Liaw, president of Ulead Systems, North America. "The speed and versatility of the ND-3500A combined with our easy-to-use digital media software lets everyday consumers be more effective and creative when handling their digital photos and videos."
