XFX Unveils GeForce 8800 Ultra

GPUs May 2,2007 0

Taking the GeForce 8 Series architecture to untapped performance levels, this is the fastest and most powerful graphics processor currently on the market, offering 128 parallel stream processors, faster memory clocks and industry leading Microsoft DirectX 10 support. NVIDIA Quantum Effects technology takes the gaming experience to a new level with advanced shader processors architected for physics computation. The result is incredibly detailed, high polygon characters, shadows and effects. Curved surfaces are smoother, animation is more lifelike, facial expressions, smoke, fire and explosions are that much more real.

The 128 parallel stream processors deliver amazing floating point processing power for unmatched gaming performance. The card's NVIDIA Lumenex engine delivers incredible image quality, floating point accuracy, and fast frame rates.

The 8800 Ultra graphics card is HDTV-, SLI-, and HDCP-ready, giving users TV-out functionality and the ability to double their performance capabilities and significantly enhanced scalability on more than 60 of the top PC games. The card also features 768MB of DDR3 memory.

Dual Dual-Link DVI enables the 8800 GTS to drive the high resolution flat panel displays, supporting digital output of up to 2560X1600 on two-displays.
