ASUS Selects Nero 7 For New LS DVDRW At Computex 2006

ASUS Selects Nero 7 For New LS DVDRW At Computex 2006

Optical Storage Jun 6,2006 0

Nero announced that its Nero 7 Essentials has been selected by ASUS to power demonstrations of its new DRW-1612BL LightScribe DVDRW drive at Computex 2006. The demonstrations will allow users to experience with the formidable hardware and software solutions working together to burn audio, video and data discs. The demonstrations will take place at the ASUS booth at Computex 2006 (Hall 2, F185), from June 6 - 10. There will be four 15 - 20 minute demonstrations daily.

The ASUS DRW-1612BL LightScribe DVDRW drive saves time and money by burning CDs and DVDs rapidly while reducing operational noise and offering excellent disc readability with Precision Recording Technology. The drive increases the number of times discs can be rewritten tenfold. Buffer underrun errors prevention and FlextraSpeed optimal writing speed adjustment technologies add extra reliability and control to disc burning projects.

"ASUS is a leader in digital media hardware, designing the high performance products in which a powerful overall software solution such as Nero 7 Essentials can truly shine," said Charly Lippoth, President, Nero K.K. "We believe the demonstrations will go a long way to showing the highest level of disc burning performance available today."

"Our new LightScribe DVDRW drive is a very demanding piece of equipment, and will quickly expose any software not up to the task," said Maggie Lee, Sr. Director, ODD Business Division, ASUS. "Nero 7 Essentials is the most comprehensive and reliable software option available to handle the breadth of this product's capabilities."

* ASUS DRW-1612BL disc burning speeds: 16X DVD+R / 8X DVD + Double Layer (DL) / 6X DVD-RW / 8X DVD+RW / 16X DVD-ROM / 48X CR-R / 32X CD-RW / 40X CD-ROM / 12X DVD RAM.
