SAI Releases Developer Toolkit for Blu-ray Disc Drives
Software Architects announced the release of its UDF Developer Toolkit for Windows, BD Edition, and UDF Developer Toolkit for Linux, BD Edition.
The SAI UDF Developer Toolkit, BD Edition provides software developers and systems integrators everything they need to quickly integrate OSTA compliant formatting, reading & writing to Blu-ray recordable and re-writable discs within their applications.
The toolkit enables integrated reading/writing/formatting of BD-R and BD-RE discs, it supports standard Windows 32 API calls while it is expandable to support other device and media types.
The Toolkit includes a read/write UDF file system driver, BD device filter driver, formatting .dll with support for formatting in all versions of OSTA compliant UDF, sample code, documentation and technical support. The Linux version provides the same components configured for use in Linux.
The Windows version of the toolkit is available immediately. Linux version will be available in August; Mac OS version Q4 2007. Standard Toolkit licensing starts at $4,995.
