DVD Format/logo Licensing Corporation (DVD FLLC), the company responsible for the licensing and logos related to the DVD products, has updated licensing fees for the DVD Book. The DVD Book price will be revised as from October 1, 2009 as follows:

The price of HD DVD-Video Book will become the same as that of other DVD Books as from October 1, 2009.

In addition, on December 31, 2009, the current DVD Format/Logo License will expire. Any current Licensee that plans to continue the manufacturing of DVD Products beyond this date, or any company that wishes to become a new manufacturer of DVD Products should sign up for the new DVD Format/Logo License.

The new License Program becomes applicable from January 1, 2010 and expires on December 31, 2014. Basic terms and conditions of the new License follow suit of the current DVD Format/Logo License. The License fee per one Product Category is JPY 1,100,000.
