Kaleidescape Showcases Cinema One at CEDIA Expo 2013
Kaleidescape showcased its newest product, Cinema One, at CEDIA Expo 2013 in Denver, Colorado, September 26-28.
The company gave live demonstrations of Cinema One and experience enhancements to the Kaleidescape Store.
The Kaleidescape Store is the first online store enables consumers to download movies with video and audio quality equal to Blu-ray Disc and DVD. With this latest release, the Kaleidescape Store allows movie-lovers to go disc-free with digital copies of the Blu-ray discs they already own for$1.99. Consumers can also upgrade their DVDs to Blu-ray quality downloads for $6.99 - online and at a fraction of the cost of buying new. These digital copies include UltraViolet rights for viewing on TVs, PCs, or mobile devices.
Movies in the Kaleidescape Store can be downloaded to Cinema One and the Premiere line to serve multiple rooms or homes. Digital copies can be downloaded to up to five systems.
Introduced in July, the new Cinema One movie server plays Blu-ray and DVD movies instantly - without previews, menus, or ads. It stores up to 600 DVD quality or 100 Blu-ray quality movies and can start a Blu-ray disc in seconds?faster than any Blu-ray player in the market. The device lets users enjoy movies in the highest audio and video quality available. The server can be asily installed and is priced at $3,995. Cinema One fits in any home AV setup, whether under a TV in the family room or in a traditional custom AV rack, and can replace older Blu-ray players.
A second Cinema One can be added to double the storage capacity and enable viewing of the combined library on a second television.
