Sony posted all the information about their latest 16x CDR-W drive (CRX168B). The drive supports 16x writing, 10x re-writing and 40x reading (CD). The connection interface is ATAPI (EIDE) and supports UDMA (ATA-33). The average access time is 125 ms (random) and the buffer 8MB, which means that there isn't any anti-coaster technology...It is also interesting that the Sony CRX168B ships "B's Recorder GOLD and B's CLiP (packet writing)" as the main CDR software!
