Plextor M6 Series SSD Lineup Debuts At CeBIT 2014
Plextor will reveal its new M6 multi-form factor SSD lineup at the upcoming 2014 edition of CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, including the new 2.5" M6S, the M6M mSATA SSD and the M6e M.2 PCIe SSD.
The new M6S is Plextor's latest 2.5" SATA SSD. Using Plextor?s own firmware, the M6S series will feature sustained sequential read / write speeds up to 520 MB/s and 440MB/s and random read / write speeds up to 94,000 and 80,000 IOPS. The M6S will use 19nm Toggle NAND flash from Toshiba and will be available in capacities of up to 512GB.
The M6M mSATA drive is a small footprint solid state drive and will be available in capacities up to 512GB. Plextor says the mSATA drive will offer read/write speeds of 520 MB/s and 440MB/s, and random read/write speeds of 94,000 and 80,000 IOPS.
The Plextor M6e is a native PCI express SSD solution, capable of delivering sequential read / write speeds up to 770/625 MB/s and random read / write speeds of 105,000 / 100,000 IOPS. The M6e is automatically recognized as an AHCI device requiring no additional drivers. It can be used as a boot disk on a system with UEFI and cut the half its startup times. The M6e will be available in capacities of up to 512GB.
