HTC Launches The Compact HTC Mini 2 Smartphone
Today, HTC is launching the HTC One mini 2, a smartphone that is actually a more compact version of the HTC One (M8) and a direct successor to the HTC One mini. Compared to the original HTC One Mini, the new mini model has a camera without the Ultrapixel sensor, a larger display and size, NFC, and a quad core Cortext A7 processor.

So the new HTC One mini 2 comes with a 4.5" HD display (720p LCD panel), HTC Sense 6 with HTC BlinkFeed and a 5MP front-facing camera, bringing the metal craftsmanship and experience of the HTC One (M8) to those in search of a more compact model.
Compared to the HTC Mini, the One mini 2 is equipped with a larger battery, its modem supports LTE category 4 and carrier aggregation.
The new phone has a 13MP camera with 1.12 micron pixels, compared to the two sensor DuoCam solution on the M8 of the HTC One M8.
Both minis use a Snapdragon 400 SoC, although the original mini featured an MSM8930 (2 x 1.4GHz Krait 200 cores) while the updated mini moves to a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 design (MSM8926). The GPU is still Adreno 305.
The device, which will be also available in silver and gold, colors, features a a 5MP front-facing camera with a self-timer, giving selfies time to prepare their pose before the image is captured. It also features Touch Up for beauty enhancements to smoothen the skin, eliminate red eye and adjust the contours of the face.
The HTC One mini 2 packs HTC BoomSound technology and it is equipped with the same amplifier as the HTC One (M8) to deliver powerful audio.
HTC BlinkFeed makes the content that matters to users more accessible and easier to read. It is aggregating feeds from a list of over 1,000 HTC's partners and adaptable tiles display users' social media updates and favorite news topics on the phone's home screen.
Users can lso highlight videos with the 13MP camera and share them with friends via the HTC Zoe app and other social media channels. A Remix function allows followers to add their own photos, videos and soundtracks to create new Zoe Highlight videos.
The One mini 2 is expected to compete with the recently announced Moto G LTE ($219). It will be available in EMEA and Asia in gray, Glacial silver and gold from June 2014, for $360+. U.S. availability has not been announced.
