Facebook is offering a new tool that willhelp you keep your account secure. Sometime over the next few weeks, you’ll see a reminder at the top of your News Feed. Click "Get Started" and follow the prompts through three steps.

The first step helps you log out of devices you haven’t used in a while or forgot about, so you’re only logged into Facebook where you want to be.

Next, you can turn on a feature called login alerts, which lets you know if anyone else tries to log into your account. Facebook will send you a notification or email alert if someone tries to log into your account from an unfamiliar device or browser.

Finally, Facebook is offering tips for how to keep your password strong and unique.
