The UHD Alliance (UHDA) announced today the completion of premium specifications for 4K Ultra HD displays, content and distribution. Composed of film studios, consumer electronics manufacturers, content distributors and technology companies, the UHDA will announce details of the new specifications and unveil a consumer-facing certification logo to identify UHD products at CES 2016.

The UHDA’s specifications cover a combination of features and consumer-tested benchmarks. The specification outlines performance metrics related to resolution, high dynamic range, and wide color gamut, as well as recommendations for audio, among others.
