
LG Launches the Q9 One for Android One Platform
LG Electronics announced Tuesday the South Korean release of its latest mid-range smartphone, Q9 One, which comes with smart functions at a reasonable price.
The Korean electronics maker said Q9 One runs on Android One, the version of the Android operating system that Google shares with device makers.
The smartphone features a 6.1-inch full-vision display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, is 7.9 millimeter thick and weighs 159 grams. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
It has a 16MP primary camera on the back and an 8MP selfie snapper, as well as a fingerprint sensor.
The device is set to be sold in South Korea for 599,500 won (US$532) and will be only available via subscription with LG Uplus Corp., LG's mobile carrier unit, starting from Friday, LG said.
