Starting today, May 16, Verizon customers can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G — Samsung’s first 5G smartphone in the U.S. — in Verizon stores and online at verizonwireless.com.

The Galaxy S10 5G is going to be a Verizon exclusive in the US for a limited time and has been on pre-order for a few weeks. The 5G model is only available for purchase online, with the full retail prices set at $1299.99 and $1399.99 ($54.16 or $58.33 per month for 24 months on Verizon Device Payment plans) for the 256GB and 512GB models respectively.

The Galaxy S10 5G features a 6.7” cinematic Dynamic AMOLED display and an advanced camera system — six lenses, including a 3D Depth Sensing camera which uses Time of Flight technology to let you capture video with a blur effect.

A 4,500 mAh all day intelligent battery optimizes usage based on how you live. And the Galaxy S10 5G comes with two storage options — 256GB and 512GB.
The launch comes on the heels of Verizon’s announcement of 20 U.S. cities that will get 5G Ultra Wideband service in 2019. They are: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, Providence, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Washington DC.

Verizon has two deals to make it easier to upgrade to 5G. New and existing customers can trade in an eligible smartphone and save up to $450. What’s more, you can get an additional $200 prepaid Mastercard if you switch to Verizon, purchase a Galaxy S10 5G on device payment plan and sign up for Verizon Unlimited4.

Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband is available only on Above and Beyond Unlimited plans with the Galaxy S10 5G. For a limited time, the Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband $10 access fee is waived — a savings of $10 a month. Both plans include unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband data, hotspot and 4K HD video streaming (on 4K-capable devices) when you are in 5G Ultra Wideband coverage areas.

Verizon previously announced it would deploy 5G in select areas of more than 30 U.S. cities in 2019, and will roll out its 5G Home broadband internet service in some of these markets, as well. Additional 5G Ultra Wideband cities will be announced later this year.
