2020 SmartCast TV Lineup
VIZIO is introducing more Quantum Color models built on the company's full array local dimming backlight with next gen TV processing. The 2020 lineup also features VIZIO's first-ever OLED TV. From the accessible 40-inch V-Series to a massive all-new 85-inch P-Series Quantum X, the 2020 SmartCast TV lineup is VIZIO's highest performing and widest range ever. It also boasts SmartCast 4.0 and the new VIZIO Voice Remote, making it easier for users to stream, control, and share content on any VIZIO SmartCast TV.
Across the 2020 lineup, VIZIO's SmartCast TVs add performance and intelligence thanks to a new processor as well as a new gaming engine. With 64-bit image processing and 1 GHz CPU, the new VIZIO IQ processors add multi-step algorithms to more accurately upscale HD/FHD to 4K resolution, reduce noise and artifacts, and intelligently enhance detail and contrast with pixel-level brightness adjustments. The new 3D color engine works in concert with auto calibration to improve color accuracy and create an image that is true to the artist's original intent. The premium IQ Ultra processor also enriches picture processing with AI and machine learning capabilities.
New for the 2020 lineup, is the introduction of VIZIO's ProGaming Engine that takes Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 performance to the next level with support for Variable Refresh Rates (VRR), AMD FreeSync, and resolutions up to 4K at 120Hz for greater motion clarity and smoother gameplay. In addition, Auto Game Mode with auto low latency is automatically engaged when console gameplay is detected.
VIZIO's 2020 P-Series Quantum X supports up to 3000 nits of peak brightness as well as 800 nits full screen brightness for outdoor scenes. The TV's full-array LED backlight with up to 792 zones of local dimming ensures the deepest blacks and eye-popping contrast. Further elevating picture performance is one of the highest performing Quantum Dot panels in the market, boasting 165% more color. The the P-Series Quantum X is available in 65-inch, 75-inch and now a cinema-worthy 85-inch size, complete with a bezel-less design.
VIZIO's new P-Series Quantum model offers 4K HDR performance with the IQ Ultra processor and 240 zones of local dimming. A 1200 nits of peak brightness gives brighter scenes a lifelike appearance and, when combined with Quantum Color technology, helps expand the color volume to rank amongst the industry's top models. VIZIO's P-Series Quantum TVs are available in 65- and 75-inch sizes.
In addition to upgrading the Quantum Color models, VIZIO is introducing its first-ever 4K OLED TVs in 55 and 65-inch sizes. The TV's self-emitting pixels offer true blacks, infinite contrast, and great viewing angles. Backed by VIZIO's IQ Ultra processor, the borderless 4mm thin display blends into any space and is made to pair with the VIZIO Elevate Sound Bar, a 5.1.4 channel Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio solution with rotating front height speakers.
VIZIO's 2020 M-Series Quantum lineup brings premium features to mid-range price points, providing picture quality improvements, HDMI 2.1 inputs, and VIZIO's IQ Active processor. With models ranging from 50-inches to 65-inches, the series offers AMD FreeSync and Variable Refresh Rates. The top 55-inch and 65-inch M-Series Quantum models offer a high performance step up in picture quality, with 90 local dimming zones and 800 nits of peak brightness to give HDR content a realistic appearance. M-Series Quantum TVs offer up to 30 local dimming zones – doubling 2019's model – while preserving up to 600 nits of peak brightness for HDR highlights.
Rounding out the 2020 lineup is the V-Series, which offers 4K HDR picture performance at a value. Available in sizes ranging from 40- to 70-inch models, the 2020 V-Series brings the same broad HDR support (Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR10, and HDR10+), SmartCast 4.0, and future-proof HDMI 2.1 inputs with eARC that are available across the entire lineup. In addition, VIZIO's IQ Active processor gives the V-Series a sharp image, while the V-Gaming Engine offers lower input lag, faster response time, and auto low-latency for gaming.

SmartCast 4.0 and more
VIZIO's SmartCast platform makes finding content easy. VIZIO's 2020 lineup includes SmartCast 4.0, the latest upgrade to VIZIO's smart TV platform that gives consumers the power to stream, control, and share the entertainment they love. The 2020 update will add to SmartCast's existing feature set, bringing faster, more personalized experiences to VIZIO SmartCast users.
The SmartCast 4.0 update will also bring personalization to VIZIO SmartCast TVs by curating content based on the user's interests.
VIZIO SmartCast TV owners with models dating back to 2016 will benefit from the performance and personalization updates.
VIZIO SmartCast TVs also come with the latest streaming technology. Users can continue to launch the most popular apps from SmartCast Home, or stream their favorite movies, TV shows, music, and photos from their phone thanks to Apple AirPlay 2 and Chromecast built-in.
In addition to these integrations, VIZIO provides even more value through its free-to-use streaming service, WatchFree. With WatchFree, consumers have access to more than 150 channels, powered by Pluto TV, featuring news, sports, movies, TV shows, music and more. In 2020, users will be able to select channels and genres in WatchFree for easier access to their entertainment. Users will also be able to utilize the Google Assistant to launch shows or channels in WatchFree using just their voice.
VIZIO SmartCast 4.0 will begin to roll out to SmartCast TVs in 2020.
VIZIO is also introducing the new push-to-talk Voice Remote, which allows users to more easily access their content using their voice, while also supporting other smart home queries.
The push-to-talk functionality allows users to click and speak directly into the remote to control their TV. A dedicated voice button also means users won't experience false wakeups that unnecessarily activate a microphone. Not only can users launch apps and switch picture modes using the push-to-talk Voice Remote, but they can also more quickly search for content by posing complex queries with multiple search terms in a single request. Beyond TV control & content discovery, the Voice Remote will also include smart features that allow users to search Wikipedia, check the weather, and more.
Audio Lineup
VIZIO's 2020 models include the new VIZIO Elevate Sound Bar, along with new M-Series and V-Series sound bar lines pairing higher audio performance at every price point.
The new lineup starts with the Elevate Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. A 5.1.4 channel system offering premium audio performance, the Elevate Sound Bar includes auto-rotating front upfiring speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content. The newly minted M-Series brings Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and the sound of premium performance to a variety of accessible configurations. The new V-Series rounds out the lineup and pairs sleek new designs with great sound for everyday listening. The 2020 models also offer a more intuitive user interface with select models receiving backlit remotes, better wireless connections through Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI inputs for added convenience, and HDMI 2.1 inputs with eARC support in premium models.
The new VIZIO Elevate Sound Bar showcases a design that works on its own, or docks with VIZIO's new OLED TV. The system features high-performance two-way left, center and right front speakers that utilize a separate tweeter for more clarity, along with dual-midbass drivers and passive radiators for improved low frequency impact. Add to this a wireless 8-inch subwoofer producing bass down to 30Hz, as well as two satellite surround speakers and four upfiring speakers and the system delivers a fully immersive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X experience. The 107dB of output allows the listener to clearly hear the deep roar of dragons, while the 18 total drivers reproduce the clarity of each drop of rain coming from all around. The design's pair of patent-pending, high-performance upfiring channels in the bar remain front-facing to maximize sound quality for stereo and 5.1 content, but automatically rotate upward for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X-enabled content, delivering an audiophile experience in either position.
The M-Series 5.1 Sound Bar and the M-Series 5.1.2 Sound Bar bring a Dolby Atmos and DTS:X cinematic experience to mid-range price-points. Both systems offer separate tweeters, mid-bass drivers and passive radiators for the front three channels. The 5.1 channel system utilizes a wireless subwoofer for powerful bass down to 45Hz and separate satellite speakers for enveloping sound powered by Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The 5.1.2 system adds 2 upfiring speakers in the bar for overhead sounds that put the user in the middle of the action.
The new M-Series All-in-One Sound Bar is a solution for any room with limited space for separate surround speakers or a subwoofer. Using DTS Virtual:X through high-performance two-way left and right channels, the system creates a virtualized sound with deep bass created by the dual integrated subwoofers.
At VIZIO's most affordable price point, the V-Series 2.1 Sound Bar delivers powerful sound with stereo speakers and a wireless subwoofer in a sleek aesthetic. The V-Series 5.1 Sound Bar adds a center channel for improved dialogue clarity, satellite surround channels for more enveloping surround sound, and a front surround mode that puts you right in the middle of your favorite movie.
VIZIO's 2020 V-Series and the M-Series All-in-One sound bars benefit from the convenience of HDMI connections with ARC (audio return channel) for routing audio signals through a TV, and CEC control so consumers can change the sound bar's inputs or volume with their TV remote. The step-up audio performance in the Dolby Atmos and DTS:X-equipped M-Series and Elevate models is paired with HDMI 2.1 inputs, along with eARC support, which allows the TV to pass through the highest quality, uncompressed, lossless Dolby and DTS audio signals from eARC-supported sources.
VIZIO has made its smart home voice integrations more convenient as well with automatic signal detection and switching through the analog or Bluetooth inputs. This allows users to connect and talk to their voice assistant of choice (sold separately) and have the assistant respond through the sound bar regardless of the input in use. When an assistant is activated by voice command, the sound bar will automatically lower the volume of the current audio content and return it to the original volume once the interaction has ended.
