Disc Makers features entry-level Elitemicro CD/DVD duplicator at Winter NAMM show 2003

General Interest Jan 23,2003 0

Disc Makers featured its new EliteMicro automated CD/DVD duplication system at Winter NAMM 2003. The all-new EliteMicro is making it easier for studios and independent musicians to bring an automated duplication system in-house, integrating the technology seamlessly into their studio operations. Starting at just $1,590, the EliteMicro is the most affordable way for small studios and independent musicians to increase their productivity and efficiency. Having an in-house duplication system like the EliteMicro is a benefit to both commercial and home studios. Instead of outsourcing CD or DVD duplication jobs to a separate facility, all of the work can be done in one place, saving project time and money and giving studios complete control over quantity and turnaround time. Disc Makers' EliteMicro - the smallest and most affordable duplication system of its kind - is the perfect tool to get the job done for small studios where space and budgets are limited.

The standalone unit has a super-compact 8 1/2" x 11" footprint – the smallest in the industry – saving valuable desktop space. Units also are available with an onboard Autograph IV 1200 dpi inkjet printer, for duplication jobs that require unattended on-disc printing. The EliteMicro is the only duplicator that can also be connected to any Primera inkjet printer that a studio owner may already own, making the EliteMicro the most affordable way for Primera printer owners to upgrade their printer to an automated duplication and printing solution.

Available in both CD-R and DVD formats, the 48x EliteMicro duplicates at least 20 CD-Rs or 4 DVD-Rs per hour. And although the EliteMicro is small, its input and output bins can hold up to 50 discs for greater unattended duplication capacity. The EliteMicro can be easily connected to any PC (Windows XP or 2000 required) via a Firewire card and cable, and includes basic networking functionality so it can be controlled via any computer or network. No additional hardware is needed to incorporate the EliteMicro seamlessly into any studio. The EliteMicro features the easy-to-use Padus DiscJuggler application as well.

The CD-R version of the EliteMicro retails for $1,590 and the DVD-R version costs $1,990, enabling studios to receive all of the features of an automated duplication system at a greatly reduced cost. The EliteMicro also carries an industry-leading three-year warranty on robotics, one year on drives and free lifetime technical support.

"Small studios and musicians will immediately be impressed with the compact size and affordability of the EliteMicro," says Tony van Veen, Disc Makers' Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "It's a great solution for studios that don't have a dedicated person on staff to do CD or DVD duplication by hand. You can just turn your EliteMicro on and it duplicates and prints discs unattended. It increases studio productivity, saves time and money, and also provides more control over projects."
