Engelmann Media released the first version of a new DVD backup tool. The DVD Copy Suite or DCS allows copying, spliting, trancoding and recording of DVD files. DCS is the complete package for best quality in copying: Your remedy for frumpy Video-CDs, for your daily frustration with conversions and plain stereo audio. Copy your DVDs in DVD or near-DVD quality, faster than you ever ripped them to MPEG-1 (VCD) and with all the audio tracks you want.

DCS features:

1:1 copies of DVD videos on DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW
1:1 copies of DVD videos on your harddisk
1:1 copies of DVD videos as images
Transcoding of complete DVD videos (needs approx. 30 minutes, depending on the size of the DVD)
Transcoding of selected parts of DVD videos
Movie Only-Copy (copies just the main movie of a DVD video - transcoding needs approx. 10 minutes, depending on the size)
Deselection of individual parts of a DVD video
