Mitsubishi to release digital image recorder with 500GB hard disk
Slated from Mitsubishi to hit the market on January 26, the Mitsubishi Digital Recorder DX-TL3000 features two 250GB hard drives to store pictures captured by security cameras.
The two independent hard drives mirror data for enhanced reliability. Incorporating intelligent network applications software "DX-PC25," the recorder enables users to remotely control the system over LAN and the Internet from a PC.
Priced at 990,000 yen ($9,252), the DX-TL3000 allows easy installation, setup and operation thanks to its auto setup functionality. The product can accommodate up to three DX-ZD3 optional drives, offering a maximum capacity of 3TB.
Each optional 500GB drive costs 520,000 yen ($4,860). The company will produce 500 units of the DX-TL3000 and 300 units of the DX-ZD3 per month.
