PS5 Kernel exploit + Webkit vulnerability for Firmware 4.03

PS5 Kernel exploit + Webkit vulnerability for Firmware 4.03

Gaming Oct 3,2022 0

PS5 hackers have managed to release the first ever PS5 Kernel exploit + Webkit vulnerability for Firmware 4.03. According to wololo.net the Webkit vulnerability works as an entry point, meaning it will work on any PS5 (including PS5 Digital edition) running firmware 4.03. Lower firmwares might work (although the exploit might need tweaking). Higher firmwares will not work at the moment (they are not vulnerable to the Webkit exploit). While this "hack" will provide with the well known "Debug" Settings menu, as it seems the increased PS5 security still holds strong. The exploit is fairly unstable, and probably will work about 30% of the time and even this exploit gives read/write access to the kernel, you cannot execute and load and run binaries at the moment
