Akasa Unveils Euler MX2, Fanless Mini-ITX Case for Unattended Commercial and Industrial Computing
Akasa ntroduced the Euler MX2, a premium aluminium fanless case for Mini-ITX motherboards. It supports Intel® LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200 and LGA115X socket-based processors up to 35W TDP and pairs an integrated 220W DC-to-DC power converter with two internal 2.5" SATA drive bays. The Euler MX2 suits commercial systems that run unattended, such as industrial automation, point-of-sale (POS) and kiosks, surveillance, digital signage, and long-life edge computing.
Akasa's patented spring-loaded mounting system gives the Euler MX2 wide compatibility with Mini-ITX form factor motherboards and consistent, stable thermal contact across the supported socket range. The case supports Intel® Core™ (8th-14th Gen) and Core™ Ultra (15th Gen) processors up to 35W TDP. Its fully passive aluminium chassis dissipates heat from the CPU through the external fins. With no fans, the system minimises noise and mechanical points of failure.
Two internal bays support 2.5" SATA SSDs or HDDs up to 9.5mm in height, giving system integrators storage capacity built into the case. For installations where a smaller footprint matters more than 2.5" storage, the 4.0L Euler CMX supports the same sockets and processors up to 35W TDP, with onboard M.2 storage only.
The internal 220W DC-to-DC converter runs from a 12V DC input via a 4-pin DIN connector and delivers +3.3V, +5V, +5V standby, +12V and -12V rails. It has built-in over-voltage and over-power protection and is rated for operation from -25°C to 70°C. 24-pin and 4+4-pin ATX power cables are included for standard motherboard connection. An optional 150W, 12V external adapter is available for complete system builds (product code: AK-PD150-02K).
For a clutter-free setup, the chassis supports VESA mounting, allowing direct installation to compatible displays or mounting arms.
The front panel features two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) Type-A ports, power and HDD LED indicators and a power button. The rear panel has an opening for the motherboard’s rear I/O, two serial port openings, antenna fitting holes, a Kensington lock hole and the 4-pin DIN power port. Optional antennas (A-ATN01-BK) and pigtails (A-ATC01-150GR) are available for Wi-Fi connectivity.
Optional bespoke engraving and colouring are available to brand and differentiate system builds, subject to a minimum order quantity. To discuss customisation, project details or OEM services, contact the Akasa team.
Applications
The Euler MX2 suits applications where silent operation and high mean time between failures (MTBF) matter:
• Industrial automation
• POS terminals and surveillance systems
• Digital signage and kiosk systems
• Edge computing and long-life deployments
