Acer Announces AspireRevo, First ION-based Nettop
Acer introduced the AspireRevo, the world's first nettop computer with advanced graphic capabilities based on Nvidia's ION processor.
No larger than a typical hardcover book, the AspireRevo is a fully capable desktop with advanced graphics and impressive multimedia features. Equipped with NVIDIA ION graphics, the system can handle a wide variety of computing needs including high definition video, gaming, sharing digital photos, surfing the web, but can also transmit and stream HD content and be used as a gaming console.
The AspireRevo is the first small form factor PC to offer the NVIDIA ION platform that combines the Intel Atom 230/330 processor (1.6GHz)with the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G graphics processor. The integrated NVIDIA ION GPU delivers 10X faster graphics performance than other small desktop PCs with integrated graphics, according to Acer. The Nvidia ION graphics processor in the AspireRevo supports Windows Vista Home/ Premium 1080p HD video with 7.1 audio, popular games including Spore, Call of Duty 4, and Sim City 5, DirectX 10 graphics with advanced digital display connectivity and accelerated video enhancement and transcoding using NVIDIA CUDA technology.
Futhermore, thanks to a special mounting system, it?s possible to attach the device on the back of any LCD or TV panel with a VESA attachment to offer the user an All-In-One capability and increase the working or playing area.
