AMD Updates CPu Pricing, Releases Athlon II X4 CPU Clocked at 3GHz
AMD today updated its processor price list and added a
high-end model for its Athlon II series.
The new Athlon II X4 is a quad-core CPU clocked at 3GHz. It
is available for $122 (1000 pcs). The processor has a 95W
TDP, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000 MHz HyperTransport
bus and it is compatible with AMD's socket AM3.
AMD's Athlon II X4 620 is not listed at AMD's website now, as it has been replaced by the Athlon II X4 635 (2.9GHz, 95W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3), priced at $99.99.
AMD also offering its Athlon II X3 415e now at 2.5GHz ( 45W, 1.5MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3), available for $102.
The company also released the low-power Athlon II X4 610e (2.4GHz, 45W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3), priced at $143. This is also the price of the Athlon II X4 605e (2.3GHz, 45W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3).
AMD's Athlon II X3 445 is now clocked at 3.1GHz (95W, 1.5MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3) and its new price is $87. The Athlon II X3 425 (2.70GHz) is no longer on AMD's price list, and the Athlon II X3 440 (3.0GHz, 95W, 1.5MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3) is available at a lower price of $87. The Energy Efficient (EE) version Athlon II X3 415e (2.5GHz, 45W, 1.5MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3)is now available for $102.
AMD's quad-core CPU family were also updated with the Athlon II X2 260 (3.2GHz, 65W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3), priced at $76. Its EE version is the Athlon II X2 245e (2.9GHz, 45W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3), available for $77.
Finally, AMD lowered the price of its Phenom II X4 945 (3.0GHz, 95W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 6MB L3 cache, 4000MHz HyperTransport bus, socket AM3) by $10, currently priced at $145
