AOpen Announces High-Performance AGP Display Cards for Advanced Graphics and 3D Games

AOpen Announces High-Performance AGP Display Cards for Advanced Graphics and 3D Games

GPUs Jan 16,2005 0

AOpen officially announced advanced 3D display cards based on NVIDIA’s GeForce 6600 AGP interface graphics chips — the Aeolus 6600 AGP series, respectively. To take full advantage of NVIDIA’s latest and greatest graphics chips, the new cards support the AGP expansion bus for superior throughput.

The Aeolus 6600 series include 128MB and 256MB of dedicated 128-bit DDR memory, which is driven by GeForce 6600 GPU. They could support memory bandwidth up to 8.8GB/s, delivering fluent frame rate for cinematic special effects. Meanwhile, with full support of Microsoft DirectX 9.0 and Shader Model 3.0 under NVIDIA CineFX3.0 Engine hardware structure.

This new superior 6600 series graphics chips are complemented by support both AGP and PCI-Express. With this NVIDIA’s latest 6600 GPU, you can easily upgrade your AGP PC platform with faster data transfer rates than possible with cards using the older AGP generation. They can thereby increase the responsiveness of the PC’s display subsystem, allowing even the most complex AV content play smoothly, adding to the enjoyment of DVD movies and other multimedia entertainment. Additionally, AOpen’s cards used the ultra size 7cm cooling fan, which provide the ultimate silent cooling performance.

Another mind-blowing feature of AOpen Aeolus 6600 series is its advanced support for MPEG-2 decoding, recording and converting analog video into defined high-definition television format. In this case, GPU could significantly offload the CPU for better system performance.

As a performance-hungry user and 3D graphics gamer, you can never bypass AOpen Aeolus 6600 AGP series for its top-notch performance and diverse utilities for high-quality display under applications. The Aeolus 6600 series will also be bundled with game software for marketing as a complete gaming solution up to the challenge mounted by the most sophisticated graphics applications and cutting-edge 3D games.
