Apple Launches Battery Cases for iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR

Apple Launches Battery Cases for iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR

Smartphones Jan 15,2019 0

Apple has made available the previously rumored battery cases for its latest iPhone XR and XS iPhone models, priced at $129.

The Smart Battery cases are available in white and black. Apple says that the case for the iPhone XS adds 33 additional hours of talk time, 21 hours of internet use, and 25 hours of video. The iPhone XS Max case adds 37 hours of talk time, 20 hours of internet, and 25 hours of video playback. Finally, the iPhone XR Smart Battery case packs 39 hours of talk, 22 hours of web, and 27 hours of video.

Unfortunately for older iPhone owners, the product pages specify that the new cases will only work with the those iPhones — meaning that iPhone X owners won’t be able to use the XS case on their phones, despite the nearly identical dimensions.

The cases also support Qi charging and they are compatible with Qi-certified chargers. With the Smart Battery Case on, the intelligent battery status is displayed on the iPhone Lock screen and in Notification Center, so you know exactly how much charge you have left.

You can order the new cases from Apple now for $129.
