Apple Posts Photo Of New iPhone
Apple accidentally posted photos of a new iPhone to its Apple Store website for a while, and it look like it is the upcoming iPhone 6c model. The photo appeared as part of Apple's launch page for its new Lightning Dock. At a first glance, the device attached to the dock you see below appears to be an iPhone 5C. But the iPhone 5C does not sport a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, as the device you see below:
So it appears we are looking at the successor of the 5c– possibly the heavily rumoured iPhone 6C.
If that is the case, we have to do a 'budget' version of the iPhone 6, so we could assume that we could also see an iPhone 6S in the near future. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a rock solid track record on Apple leaks in recent years, has talked about an upcoming iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
Let's hope that the new iPhone C model will get a decent specification boost. The current iPhone 5C is based on the discontinued iPhone 5, so it would make sense for the new model to be based on the iPhone 5S which delivers nearly twice the performance of the iPhone 5, an improved camera and a x64 processor.
With Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers’ Conference (WWDC) starting on 8 June and iOS 9 expected to be the main attraction, we may well get a significant new hints soon.
