Asus today held their North American launch for the latest product in its Eee PC series, the Eee PC S101, at an exclusive event hosted at a Bryant Park Loft in the center in New York. The exquisitely designed Netbook builds upon the netbook form-factor, ergonomics and features of its predecessors, but offers an updated exterior.

Starting November 1st, the Eee PC S101 will available at selected retailers for $699, Asus said.

The device has a slim form?at just 0.7 inches and 2 pound weight,it supports Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth V2.0.

It is equipped with a 10.2" wide active matrix LED-backlit display and comes with an encrypted 20 GB Internet storage facility known as Eee Storage for storing and accessing important documents and media. The Netbook?s 16GB Solid State Drive (SSD) promises to maintain the integrity of stored data even when subjected to knocks and bumps.
