ATI Unveils "Vista-Ready" Mobility Radeon Graphics Processors

ATI's Mobility Radeon'R' X1700, Mobility Radeon'R' X1450 and Mobility Radeon'R' X1350 graphics processors feature a balance between performance and power management for notebook PCs. ATI has developed a family of notebook graphics to meet the complete needs of mobile professionals-from creating vivid presentations, to watching high definition videos to playing their favorite video game on their flight home. ATI's Mobility Radeon X1700(R), Mobility Radeon(R) X1450 and Mobility Radeon(R) X1350 Balance performance with longer battery life to transform notebook PCs into high-powered mobile entertainment systems and Windows Vista(TM)-ready workstations.

ASUS will be the first to market with the Mobility Radeon X1700 graphics processor, with its newly launched high-performance notebooks, including the Mobile TV, Mobility, Multimedia and Entertainment notebook series.

The Mobility Radeon X1K family optimizes performance for the mobile world, providing advanced functionality for running graphics-intensive business applications, high-definition multimedia content and digital entertainment. Features include:

The Mobility Radeon X1K family balances productivity with strong performance. Built to include ATI's Powerplay(TM)6.0 power management technology, the Mobility Radeon X1K family of graphics processors automatically adjusts the balance between performance and power consumption based on the workload. Through a combination of hardware and software, Powerplay optimizes the clock speed and voltage of the Mobility Radeon graphics core depending on the user's requirements.

The Mobility Radeon X1K family is also ideal for media-intensive tasks such as digital content viewing, editing and creation. Advanced video processing and acceleration makes HD DVD playback smooth, and the powerful graphics core easily handles the latest 3D games. ATI's Mobility Radeon X1K family also includes Avivo(TM) video and display technology and HD-DVD/H.264 and Blu-ray video playback to deliver crisp graphics, smooth video and dazzling color fidelity through the notebook LCD display.

With Microsoft Windows Vista on its way, the Mobility Radeon X1K family delivers the premium Vista experience, including the sophisticated Windows Aero(TM) user interface, Windows Flip 3D and flawless high-definition content playback.
