The retail box is heavy and we liked the design, there isn't much at the front, the basic stuff.
Opening the box unveils at the top the included ARGB hub in a seperate box.
As we said earlier, the box includes three case fans, with a separate compartment for transportation reasons.
So how white are the new fans? very white we can say... The whole structure is a white matt color and we liked the fact that also the power/ARGB cables and connectors are also in white color.
The product comes with three connectors, the 4-pin PWM power supply that is being used to supply power to the rotating fan, two more ports one male and one female 3-pin RGB headers that are being used with Addressable RGB lighting systems. The 3-pin header, which is 5V, can also be referred to as the “digital RGB header”, or “addressable RGB header” (DRGB, ARGB). This header uses separate pins for power, data, and ground. ... When you send information through this pin, the first LED uses the first part of the data, then passes the right along, and so on. Your motherboard should have 3 pin headers to use this kind of RGB.
At the back, you will find more information about our product. Note that the fan has pre-installed plastic foam at the secure mount four corners to reduce vibrations and overall noise.
There are two district arrows at the product showing the rotation and direction of the air flow.
The blades are also white and there is only black be quiet! logo at the center.
Inside the box, you will find two printed manuals/product information
The included 6 port ARGB fan is very useful and is also in white. For sure at this price point, we would like a fan/ARGB hub.
The ARGB hub is powered via a SATA port and has the LIW-ARGB-Hub V2 codename. Everything is simply white also here.
The cable that connects to the motherboard and transfers the ARGB signal to the hub also is braided and white color.
Inside the retail package, you will also find three sets of fan mounting screws, a 3M double tape for the ARGB Hub, and more screws for the hub in case you need to secure it with a different method the case.
The overall effect is very good especially if you pair the Light Wing White fans with a case like SILENT BASE 802 or PURE BASE 500, which we have already reviewed and liked a lot. With your motherboard software, you can sync all motherboard/fan RGB lighting with the same colors or different ones. ARGB signal can be daisy-chained which means you can chain up various be quiet! Light Wings White RGB fans.
