The be quiet! Pure Rock 3 is a new single-tower design CPU cooler that promises good performance, high compatibility even with big memory kits, and proper retail price. While be quiet! does offer many other air fans, the Pure Rock 3 can help the newest AMD processors that produce less heat, so big CPU coolers aren't needed anymore. The retail package is complete and simple, users will find mounting mechanisms for both Intel/AMD systems up to the latest AM5 system.

The product includes a single tower design that has a big plus of small overall volume, high compatibility even with small cases, and supports a 120mm rotating fan. The installation process is simple, at least for the AMD socket and thermal paste comes pre-applied to the product so users won't be troubled with this at all. The overall build quality is very good, no problems were noticed either cricks or weird noises. The mounting mechanism for the AMD platform allows either for normal installation (0mm) or with a small offset (-8mm) that is supposed to boost overall performance since the cooler base is placed exactly above the CCD cores of the AMD5 processor system. From our tests, we didn't find any serious performance gains with the AMD AM5 7950X so keep this in mind, with other CPU processors users may see changes, but we cannot be sure.

Passing to the performance area, the product up to 140watt TDP can handle this without sweating a lot, the system will run just fine and without much noise. Increasing TDP isn't a good idea, since temperatures will increase as well, so buying a bigger CPU cooler is a better idea, or even an AIO water cooler. Overall, the be quiet! Pure Rock 3 is a fine product for entry-level CPUs either from Intel/AMD sockets with a total black stealthy look that be quiet! is well known about. be quiet! also offers the product with ARGB fan (Pure Rock 3 LX) if you like this approach with an extra 5 Euro.
