BenQ Ships Latest Digital Projector PB6240 for Mobile Professionals and High-Performance Applications
PB6240 DLP Projector Features 2,700 ANSI Lumens, 2000:1 Contrast Ratio and ?Application Modes? at Competitive Price Point
BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today announced that it has begun shipping its new PB6240 digital projector, the brightest digital projector available under a $2,000 price point. A new addition to BenQ's award-winning Value Series line of digital projectors, the PB6240 features a super-bright 2,700 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio and native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution.
The PB6240 features BenQ's new Application Modes that enable consumers to manually select between eight custom modes that switch the projector's settings to fit varying presentation environments and maximize the performance of the projector. The new Preset Modes include "Cinema Mode", which optimizes projection settings to accommodate home theater applications, and "Economic Mode", which adjusts power levels to help save lamp life.
In addition, the PB6240 is capable of natural-looking color reproduction in the yellow spectrum, and is compatible with the most popular video signals, including HDTV, NTSC and SECAM. The unit also features a VGA-out port for connecting to a secondary display, as well as PC-RGB analog D-sub, DVI, S-Video, Composite video and audio, and RS232 inputs.

The PB6240 digital projector offers the DLP-based chipset from Texas
Instruments and a 4:3/16:9 screen-selectable aspect ratio. The unit weighs
approximately 6 pounds, and the casing dimensions are 10.3"(wide) x 3.9"(height)
x 8.5&"(deep). The unit includes BNCx5, RCA (video), S-Video, and component
(RCAx3) connectors.
