Canon Launches Stylish New Sure Shot 130u II 35mm Film Camera at Competitive Price
new Sure Shot 130u II 35mm film camera is yet another enticing option for users of advanced point and shoot film cameras.
The camera, which will be on display at PMA 2005, February 20 - 23 (Canon Booth #3503), in Orlando, Fla., features all of the advanced functions that made the original the blockbuster of the autumn two years ago, along with several new and improved features to simplify great picture taking at a low price.
"Canon continues to show its commitment to the film market and its consumers by providing imaging solutions for all users," said Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior vice president and general manager of the consumer imaging group at Canon U.S.A., Inc, a subsidiary of Canon Inc. (NYSE:CAJ). "By listening to the requests of our customers, we can now offer a stylish and full-featured point and shoot camera at a very attractive price."
The Sure Shot 130u II camera's main features include a 3.4x (38-130mm) Canon zoom lens for sharp images and six shooting modes optimized for different scenes. Combined with a high precision three-point autofocus system, a seven-mode light-guide zoom flash, and distinctive new styling, this camera is sure to receive two thumbs up. Another valuable improvement is an enhanced (from previous models) audio alert system, which can be programmed by the user to confirm autofocus completion and self-timer operation, and to provide a camera shake warning in low light.
Like other Sure Shot cameras, the 130u II model is equipped with a wide range of useful standard features including automatic film loading, auto advance and auto rewind, together with a self-timer function, manual exposure compensation, a dioptric correction adjustment for the zoom viewfinder and optional mid-roll rewind. There are five custom functions to tailor camera operation to personal preferences, and a built-in date imprinting function is provided.
The Canon Sure Shot 130u II 35mm camera will be available on store shelves in early March, and will carry an estimated street price of 109.00*. * Pricing is subject to change without notice at any time. All prices are set by the individual dealer and may vary.
