Mushkin is updating its Triactor series of mainstream SATA SSDs with the new Triactor 3DX and 3DL. The company has also on display at its Helix-L cost-effective M.2 NVMe SSD and the Pilot M.2 NVMe drive.

The Triactor series is based on 3D TLC NAND flash memory and a Silicon Motion SM2258 controller. The drives comes in sizes of 120 GB, 250 GB, 500 GB, and 1 TB. They offers sequential transfer rates of up to 565 MB/s reads, with up to 530 MB/s writes, and 4K random access performance of up to 100,000/91,000 IOPS (read/write). The Triactor 3DX is built in the 7 mm-thick 2.5-inch form-factor, while the Triactor 3DL is built in the M.2-2280 form-factor, with SATA 6 Gbps interface.

The affordable Helix-L M.2 NVMe SSD. is built in the M.2-2280 form-factor, uses a Silicon Motion SM2263XT controller and 3D TLC NAND flash memory. It comes in capacities ranging between 120 GB and 1 TB. The drive's rated performance is at up to 2400 MB/s sequential reads, up to 1700 MB/s sequential writes, up to 280,000 IOPS 4K random reads, and up to 250,000 IOPS maximum writes.

The Pilot combines the faster Silicon Motion SM2262 controller, with 3D TLC NAND flash over 8 channels, and is cushioned by a DRAM cache. The drive's performance is to up to 3200 MB/s sequential for reads, up to 1900 MB/s sequential for writes. 4K random access performance figures of 370,000/300,000 IOPS (reads/writes). It comes in capacities ranging between 240 GB and 2 TB.

Both drives are backed by 3-year warranties.

Mushkin also introduced the new CarbonEXT external SSD and the new SWAP flash drive at CES 2018.

The CarbonEXT has a USB 3.1 interface and will be available in capacities of 120GB ~ 1 TB. It uses a Silicon Motion SM2258XT controller to deliver a maximum sequential throughput of up to 450 MB/s, in a 93 x 50 x 13 mm package.

The SWAP OTG USB 3.1 flash drive features switchable USB Type A and Type C connectors. Sized at 37mm X 12.2mm X 5.9 mm, it can be easily carried in your pocket, packing 32 GB or 64 GB of storage space. In terms of performance, the SWAP flash drive offers up to 225MB/s read and 65MB/s write transfer speeds.
