CyberLink today launched U, a new solution for Windows, Mac and mobile devices that simplifies online business meetings, webinar presentations and instant messaging for business.

U is designed to replace dated web conferencing systems that are difficult to use and offer poor call quality. CyberLink claims that its patented video technology enables lag-free HD video meetings with an incidence rate for dropped calls close to zero.

The solution is built around three modules. U Messenger offers instant team collaboration with features such as file sharing, polling and forums, and even engaging stickers to build team spirit. U Meeting is a simple tool to start video meetings on time and without technical challenges. U Webinar offers tools to help presenters organize and edit content, repurpose previous presentations, and deliver strong broadcasts live or from previously recorded content. U also incorporates PerfectCam = the first live virtual makeup plugin for conferencing systems.

Cyberlink provides different subscription plans. A free version of U offers meetings and webinars for up to 25 participants for a maximum of 50 minutes and 60 minutes respectively.
