CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra Supports NVIDIA's PureVideo Architecture
CyberLink announced that PowerDVD Ultra now supports NVIDIA's second generation PureVideo HD (VP2) architecture on NVIDIA's latest GeForce 8500/8600 series graphics cards.
Decoding of H.264 video is a very demanding task in general, and the CPU processing power is often a bottleneck during playback of an HD DVD or Blu-Ray movie on PC.
CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra incorporates H.264 decoding technology powered by the new PureVideo hardware engine. This provides owners of NVIDIA GeForce 8500/8600 series graphics cards the benefit of reducing CPU utilization when executing high-definition video decoding, as the GPU handles part of th processing load.
CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra is available online starting from May 15, 2007, priced at USD 99.95/Euro 99.99
