The new DeepCool PN850M v3.1 Power Supply can be found online at ~140 Euros (including VAT) depending on your local region. At least for now, the retail price we found online is much higher than what the official press release reported (~110 Euro), so maybe shortly, we will see the price drop accordingly. The PN-M series comes in 650, 750, and 850 Watts variations. The retail package is simple and includes only the needed logos and information either in front or back.

Everything is well packaged, no problems during transportation.

There are two printed (small) manuals inside the package.

The included cables are enough for most users in this category. All cables are sleeved while flat cables are nicer to work with.

The PSU has the typical ATX power supply dimensions (150×140×86mm (W x L x H)), meaning it will fit in most cases. The product is rated as 80Plus Gold. The PN850M comes equipped with a dynamic 120mm FDB fan that will adjust its speed based on the cooling needs of the PSU and has all the needed protective features, like, including Overpower Protection (OPP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Over Current Protection (OCP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), No Load Operation (NLO) and Surge and Inrush Protection (SIP).

The power supply has a matte black finish like most of the tested power supplies we have recently seen at our labs. All the edges are not sharp, so you can handle it without any worries. The power supply also includes a glowing DC logo on the right side.

The rear has a honeycomb design, that helps lower the PSU's internal temperature since drives the produced hot air out of the case.

At the top, we can find the power ratings of the product. The power supply has one big +12V rail that can boost up to 70.5A and produces 846 watts output. The +5V boosts 20A, while the +3.3V rail 20A. Lastly, the +5VSB gives another 3A.

The connector ports are many to cover most of our needs and the "new" v3.1 Intel ATX protocol suggests a slightly modified 12V-2x6 port that has the Deepcool color. The included 12V-2x6 cable is rated at 105°C-resistant 16AWG copper-core and the 850-watt model can boost up to 600W for the NVIDIA 4080/4090 series.

There are several cables included for users to connect many devices. We would like to see the main power connector a bit longer to 600mm for those big cases:

Main Power Connector (20+4) Pin
550mm
CPU (4+4) Pin x1
700mm
PCI-E (6+2) Pin x1
550mm
PCI-E (12V-16pin) x1
600mm
SATA x4 + 4 Pin Peripheral x1 (2 Items)
450mm + 120mm each peripheral
Power Cable x1

At the inside of the power supply, we will find 105°C Japanese Main Capacitors, active PFC, full-bridge SRC LLC, and a DC-to-DC topology, the PN850M can keep the hold-up time to ≥ 16 ms under a high load of 80%.

Boasting 80 PLUS Gold certification and Cybenetics Gold rating, the PN-M PSUs offer high power efficiency and noise level management and also is Intel ATX 3.1 compliant.
