Dell will license Sun Microsystems's Solaris operating system and build computers based on the Sun software, the companies said on Wednesday. Details of the deal will announced by Michael Dell, founder and chief executive of Dell, and Jonathan Schwartz, president and chief executive of Sun, at Oracle's OracleWorld user conference in San Francisco.
